Biography
Brendan is currently serving the STEM community as a STEM Coordinator for Northern Virginia Community College's STEM outreach program SySTEMic in Annandale and Manassas. He began the Alternate Route to Certification program and began teaching three courses of Engineering as a part of the Engineering Major Pathway at MOT in 2016. Using the curriculum of Engineering by Design as a foundation, he has designed many lessons and projects that have been awarded the Program Excellence Award in 2020. He continues to evolve his curriculum and develop new ideas to be shared in the CTE community. In 2017 he started MOT’s first drumline which has performed at many local parades and events. Brendan also taught Mathematics as a part of the Interactive Mathematics Program level II in 2018. In 2020 he began coaching the Varsity and Junior Varsity MOT Lacrosse team. He currently serves as the Membership Committee Chair as a part of the Counsel for Supervision and Leadership.
