I have been heavily engaged in education at various levels for over 50 years. These levels include instruction at the middle school, high school, SUNY Broome - community college (applied physics), and SUNY Oswego Graduate School (Curriculum Development) and with statewide teacher training. From a leadership perspective I have served in the following capacities at the State Level NYSTEEA Vice President, President-Elect, President and Immediate Past President. I also had the pleasure serving NYSTEEA as a long time Advisory Council Chair, Political Action Chair, Bringing ITEEA's STEL to NYS committee chair, NYSTEEA Affiliate Rep to ITEEA, Bringing Engineering by Design into NYS Chair, NYSTEEA MS and HS Student Survey Committee Chair. Also represented NYSTEEA at NYS Council of Education Associations meetings in Albany. For the NYS STEM Education Collaborative (NYSSEC) I served on the Collaborative Formation Committee (involving Math (AMTNYS), Science (STANYS), Technology Education (NYSTEEA) and Professional Engineers (NYSSPE) then served numerous years as the Collaborative's Acting Chair, then as (1st) President (2 Years) and Immediate Past President (2 Years). For several years I have served as a NYSSEC Co-Chair for our annual summer institute. For the Binghamton(NY)-Scranton (PA) Section of the Society of Plastics Engineers I served as President for two terms, Newsletter Editor for 10 years, and numerous years on the SPE Board of Directors. With ITEEA I have served on the Political Action Committee with Bill Dugger, Membership Committee, and Chaired / Facilitated five ITEEA Taskforces as well as numerous years as Affiliate Rep. In addition I have worked with the ITEEA Exec. Board's Northeast States Committee to Bring STEL into respective states. One of my greatest achievements was to serve as Advisor for the Union-Endicott High School Solar Electric Car Team. Over a seven year span we created and / or repurposed five different vehicles.
