CSL/Admin Strand Invite to 2019 Annual Conference

in Kansas City, MO

The International Technology and Engineering Educators Association’s (ITEEA’s) Council for Supervision and Leadership (CSL) has partnered with ITEEA’s STEM Center for Teaching and Learning™ to create a dynamic professional development strand for Leadership through Delivering Integrative STEM Education at ITEEA’s 81st Annual Conference. You are registered to participate in this specially designed professional development program for school and district-based Administrators being held at the Sheraton and Westin at Crown Center Hotels in Kansas City, MO, March 27-30, 2019. As a member of this unique I-STEM Education Administrator Professional Development Strand, this PD program has been specially crafted to provide you with a better understanding of Integrative STEM Education (I-STEM Education) as well as to illustrate what successful implementation of I-STEM Education looks like in classrooms Prek-12.

The I-STEM CSL/Administrator Strand Agenda has engaging and enlightening sessions beginning on Wednesday evening (March 27) through Friday (March 29). There are numerous opportunities to engage in I-STEM conversations as well as network with other administrators, content experts, and National Teacher Effectiveness Coaches (NTECs) at all educational levels (elementary, middle, and high school).

Registration grants access for you to take part in specially designed sessions that address topics such as STEM teacher recruitment, how to meet the needs of nontraditional technology and engineering educators, and how to provide effective I-STEM Education implementation strategies.

Your registration includes the opportunity to join us on Wednesday, March 27 (11:00am-3:30pm) for a unique educational field trip to General Motors Fairfax Assembly Plant. RSVP is required no later than March 18. The tour is limited to the first 25 respondents. Tour guidelines and dress and safety requirements are strictly enforced. Click HERE for details. See below for RSVP to help us in making transportation plans.

In addition, you’re invited to the special panel session titled “STEM4: The Power of Collaboration for Change” and is followed by the Council for Supervision and Leadership (CSL) President’s reception sponsored by Texas Instruments (please RSVP to help us in planning the seating and food/beverage count). ITEEA’s Council for Supervision and Leadership’s President’s Reception Wednesday evening beginning at 5:00pm, and a complimentary breakfast on Thursday (This includes the CSL Awards/Business Breakfast) along with a complimentary breakfast Friday as a part of the Administrator I-STEM Education Strand.
