This preconference workshop will prepare elementary teachers to effectively implement engineering design within science and technology lessons. Purdue faculty, Ivy Tech Community College, and graduate students will present approaches to improve student’s design skills while also addressing Standards for Technological Literacy, Next Generation Science Standards, and 21st Century Skills. Science Learning through Engineering Design (NSF grant project SLED) lessons will be featured during the workshop.
