The Technology & Engineering Education program in the Department of Applied Sciences, Technology & Education (ASTE) at Utah State University offers a Bachelor of Science degree and a teaching minor in Technology & Engineering Education (TEE) for students who wish to become professional educators in the area of Technology & Engineering Education or Skilled & Technical Sciences Education. This program offers exceptional content-area training, as well as nationally-ranked pedagogical training in partnership with the Emma Eccles-Jones College of Education & Human Services. Students choosing an emphasis in Technology & Engineering Education graduate with a Utah Professional Educator License and an endorsement to teach middle and high school students in Technology & Engineering Education. Students choosing an emphasis in Skilled & Technical Sciences Education graduate with a Utah Professional Educator License with an endorsement to teach high school students in one or more Trade & Industrial Education areas. Graduates of the Technology & Engineering Education program at Utah State University are highly sought-after candidates for teaching positions in Utah and across the United States, and the program boasts 100% job placement over the past 10+ years. In addition to the undergraduate program, The ASTE Department offers graduate degrees in Career & Technical Education (Master of Education, Doctor of Philosophy) and Technology & Engineering Education (Master of Science) for educators seeking to improve their skills and marketability or for prospective academicians. All graduate degrees are offered fully online and welcome students from across the United States. The doctoral and master of science programs can also be campus-based for students wishing to engage in teaching and/or research assistantships.
