Dr. Tatiana Goris has a broad professional background, which includes industrial experience (in electronics manufacturing, Russia), as well as research and teaching experience at post-secondary levels in the U.S. Currently, Dr. Goris is an Assistant Professor at Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS, Department of Technology and Workforce Learning. She teaches graduate core courses in the ‘Master of Science in Technology’ program. Previously, she taught a variety of undergraduate Mechanical and Electrical Engineering-Technology courses at Purdue University. Her research expertise relates to Theories of Learning; STEM Education; and Workforce preparation for industries and advance manufacturing. Dr. Goris is a member of IEEE, ASEE and ATMAE professional engineering societies. Also, she is an author and a co-author of multiple publications related to post-secondary education of adult learners. Dr. Goris obtained her PhD in Technology from Purdue University (2012), West Lafayette, Indiana, with the emphasis on Engineering and Technology Education. She also has a background in Electronics Engineering (specializing in semiconductor manufacturing) graduating from Taganrog Institute of Technology of Southern Federal University, Russia (1999).
