I am the Department Chair for the Technology Education Department at Valley City State University (VCSU) in Valley City, North Dakota. I am the ITEEA State Champion (Affiliate Representative) and EbD Lead Trainer from North Dakota. VCSU Technology Education Department coordinates and presents the national ITEEA "Teacher Excellence Awards" at the annual ITEEA Conference and participates in the annual breakfast roundtable. I have a M.Ed. Degree in Technology Education from VCSU, including a STEM Endorsement. Prior to coming to VCSU, I taught Technology and Engineering Education for 10+ years to junior high and high school students in North Dakota. While teaching secondary school I was honored to receive the Teacher Excellence Award for Technology Education for the State of North Dakota in 2012 and the Program Excellence Award for Technology and Engineering Education for the State of North Dakota in 2017.
