FY18 Manufacturing & Engineering Technology Teacher Vacancy

POSITION: Manufacturing & Engineering Technology Teacher

LOCATION: Delmar School District
200 N. Eighth Street
Delmar, DE 19940

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certification in Teacher of Technology Education, Grades K-12 required
  • Professional Licensure or Certification required. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, Material, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering from an ABET accredited educational institution; and/or Department of Education approved equivalent.
  • Experience in engineering to apply principles and technical skills in the design and development phases of a wide variety of projects involving the principles of mechanics, applications to specific engineering systems, design and testing procedures, prototype and operational testing, inspection procedures, manufacturing system-testing procedures, test equipment operation maintenance, and report preparation.

REPORTS TO AND EVALUATED BY: Principal

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

a] Satisfactory State of Delaware criminal background check/Child Registry
b] Mantoux/PPD skin test documentation with Health Form signed by physician
c] Mandatory direct deposit of pay

SALARY: As per State of Delaware and Local Salary Schedules for FY18

DATE OF EMPLOYMENT: Tuesday, August 22, 2017

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a 10-month position. The salary and work year will be established by the Delmar Board of Education.
