ITEEA Members Meet Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs at International Exchange in Cuba

The Worldwide STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Education Group is a dedicated combination of educators, representatives of international STEM associations, and universities. The primary goal is to bring creative thinking and problem solving skills to all students, in particular girls and underrepresented groups in various STEM career pathways. The Group recently created an exciting international exchanges with Cuban educators.  

The Minister of Education of Cuba spoke at the meeting's Closing Ceremonies on Friday June 30, 2017. She stated Cuba will be using our STEM Hands-on Projects for their new Science Curriculum and invited us back for their International Science Conference in April 2018 with 15 other countries attending. Cathy Burke, Amanda Jones and Clifton Jones had the honor to meet Julie Bishop, the Foreign Minister of Affairs for Australia. She spoke with the group concerning young women in STEM Careers.
