DiscoverE is hosting "Inspire Wonder: Introduce a Girl to Engineering" on Wednesday, February 21 at 8:00 pm US ET, the evening before Girl Day. Panelists will include Girl Day Role Models from Raytheon, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Society of Women Engineers and TE Connectivity. Don’t miss any of the action! Tune into the Future City Finals Tuesday, February 20th starting at 8:30 am (eastern) as the competition kicks off with the Parade of Teams live from Washington, DC. The top teams will present the futuristic cities they designed to address this year’s challenge: The Age-Friendly City! Mark your calendars and enjoy a few hours of inspiration from our amazing middle school participants who are engineering our future. The winner will be announced at approximately 12:00 pm.

Are you looking for valuable career conversations with engaging presenters offering actionable advice? Join us each Wednesday in March at 12:00 pm EST/USA. 

Topics include: 

  • Advancing Your Career and Personal Brand Through Social Media. (March 7) 
  • The Creative Engineer: Right Brain Meets Left Brain. (March 21) 
  • What is Your Cultural IQ? Building International Teams. (March 28)

Take the Global Day Pledge

Pledge to celebrate engineers on Global Day of the Engineer: Wednesday, April 4, 2018! Here are some ideas: 

  1. Say thank you. Send a card, text or email, or post a note of appreciation on social media.
  2. Share your Engineers Week celebrations. Post photos of your country's engineering day, week or month on Global Day. 
  3. Plan an event. Gather engineering colleagues for a special celebration, small or large, to honor their achievements.
