Call for Presenters and Poster Presenters
The N.Y.S. STEM Education Collaborative (www.nysstemeducation.org) and Alfred State-SUNY College of Technology will jointly present the 2019 STEM Education Summer Institute being held at Alfred State in Alfred, N.Y.
We are announcing a call for both successful classroom presentations and poster presentations for this Institute. The presentations will be one hour or two hours (hands on) in length and held in AV equipped classrooms, computer labs, or lecture halls. The posters will be displayed and presented during two separate one-hour poster sessions (one on Sunday evening and one on Monday evening). Eighteen CTLE Professional Development hours will be provided thanks to you, our presenters.
Presentations are invited from pre-service teacher candidates, in-service teachers, school administrators, math, science, technology and engineering educators, practicing engineers, educational technology specialists, higher ed. faculty, and practitioners to share ideas on STEM / STEAM and ELA education.

Presentation proposal submission deadline: March 31, 2019
Notification to presenters and poster presenters acceptance: April 19th 2019
Presenters confirm their participation to NYSSEC May 3, 2019
Presenters please register by this date. May 24, 2019
Depending on the topic and Institute schedule, we may ask you to present a poster and/or presentation even though you proposed the opposite. Presenters' registration fees will be 50% of regular attendees'.
The NYS STEM Education Collaborative promotes the inclusion of multiple STEM subject areas using integrated activities and instruction. All proposals will be evaluated based upon their ability to meet these goals. STEAM proposals, integrating STEM disciplines along with the arts or communication are encouraged.
