72nd Annual Four-State Regional Conference Offers Affordable Hybrid PD Opportunity

June 19, 2020

Looking for an affordable professional development opportunity?

The 72nd Annual Four-State Regional Technology Conference will be held at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas on November 5-6, 2020. This year's theme is "Teaching Hands-on Skills in a Virtual Environment" due to the COVID19 pandemic and the impact it has had on our profession. Due to this impact, the conference will be held in a hybrid format with all sessions and pre-conference workshops provided by Depco, LLC and Pitsco Education, being broadcast live for attendees. This approach was determined necessary due to the unprecedented learning obstacles technical educators worldwide have been facing due to the COVID19 pandemic. This will also allow individuals worldwide to attend virtually! There will be sessions involving design thinking, laboratory organization/management, coding, robotics, woodworking, and many more!

The cost of the conference will be $40 per attendee this year with discounts offered to multiple registrations for each district. If you are wanting to present, you can attend the conference for FREE. You can also earn college credit for attending the conference at an additional cost. The credit can be applied towards a Masters of Science degree in Technology and Engineering Education through Pittsburg State University, which can be potentially completed online! For attending the conference, attendees earn a certificate of 16 professional development hours.
