Never Leave Home Without Your Engineering Notebook Again

A student's Engineering Notebook is a view into the design, work, thought, and process of a design challenge. The solution students create is just part of the entire design process and having an organized, chronological notebook of the process is invaluable to the student and more importantly the teacher. This tool provides a structured format for students to enter information during the design process and allow the teacher to observe the information and track the entry, edit, and delete content. The teacher can also create separate class workgroups to work collaborative if desired. There are also evaluation rubrics that correspond to the EDPL for middle and high school levels to help the teacher determine student proficiency. During the STEMinar, we will share and discuss the electronic Engineering Design Process Log (EDPL) created by Georgia Tech's Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) as part of the NSF-Funded project AMP-IT-UP(#1238089) and the newly funded NSF Project for STEM-ID (#2101441).  Members: FREE/non-members $45
