Celebrate Engineers Week 2023 with ITEEA

DiscoverE works to ensure people everywhere understand how engineers, technicians, and technologists make the world a better place. Help celebrate this legacy and build for the future during Engineers Week (EWeek).

As an EWeek Coalition Member, ITEEA is here to support your efforts to celebrate how engineers make a difference in our world, add your voice to the conversation about the need for engineers, technicians, and technologists, and engage students in engineering.

Below are ways you can help celebrate Engineers Week with your students and colleagues.

  1. Share via social media how technology and engineering educators like you are #CreatingtheFuture in your classroom! Be sure to reference the hashtags, tags, and example below.
  2. Download a free set of Design Briefs created by ITEEA’s STEM Center for Teaching and Learning to strengthen the connection between ITEEA and EWeek. There are standards-based briefs for the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels.
  3. Visit DiscoverE to discover a plethora of resources including STEM Activities, Engagement Opportunities, ways to meet Change Makers, and MUCH more!
  4. Learn from ITEEA leaders' insights on the importance of engineering, engineering education, and Engineers Week. Keep an eye out for their posts on social media.
  5. Remember that Thursday, February 23 is DiscoverE Girl Day. ITEEA will be sharing specialized resources to mark this important day when volunteers, educators, and others act as role models, facilitate engineering activities, and show girls how engineers change our world.
