ITEEA Strategic Plan Goal 4:
Curriculum and Professional Development
The second-to-last session will focus on Strategic Plan Goal 4: Curriculum and Professional Development, exploring efforts related to the development and use of ITEEA’s Integrative STEM curriculum. Specifically, we’ll discuss how ITEEA is (1) increasing awareness and usage, (2) training coaches and teachers, (3) sharing best practices for effective implementation.

Charlie McLaughlin, Ph.D., DTE, is a Professor of Technology Education at Rhode Island College. Charlie will be installed as 2023-2024 ITEEA President in April 2023.
 
Steve Shumway, Ph.D., represents ITEEA’s Council on Technology and Engineering Teacher Education on ITEEA’s Board and is a Professor in the Technology & Engineering Studies program in the College of Engineering at Brigham Young University.

ITEEA Strategic Plan Goal 5: Standards
Finally, in the last session of the 2022-2023 school year on Goal 5: Standards, we invite your thoughts on how ITEEA can establish and support the use of educational standards among the T&E community. Our facilitators will share ideas around (1) creating resources to aid in standards’ implementation, (2) monitoring the effectiveness of standards, and (3) understanding the barriers to standards’ usage.
