Georgia Southern is offering Engaging Educators in Renewable Energy.

What: 7 week  PAID research experience for educators of all levels (pre-service to post-secondary)

Focus: Renewable Energy: wind, bio fuels, solar, and biologically inspired design

Where: Georgia Southern University

When: Summer 2018 and 2019

The program will develop and train secondary and post-secondary STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) teachers through:

·        Hands on work in a highly advanced engineering lab at Georgia Southern

· Participation in lectures about concepts explored in the lab setting

· Collaboration with researchers from several STEM disciplines

· Development of techniques & tools to apply learning to  individual classroom contexts

· Creation of a hands-on curriculum to facilitate application of concepts with students

· Follow up support throughout the 2017-18 academic year
