AOPA High School Aviation STEM Symposium

November 6-7, 2017

American Airline’s C.R. Smith Museum | Fort Worth, TX

AOPA’s High School Aviation STEM Symposium brings dedicated educators from around the U.S. for two full days of sharing insights, ideas, and best practices for starting and building aviation STEM programs. It’s the ONLY high school event in the nation that specifically targets aviation and aerospace content.

The symposium is your chance to get to know leaders in the field. Our speakers come with a wealth of experience in multiple areas including education and the aviation industry. They will share lessons learned from experience and provide fresh ideas to take back to your classrooms from starting an aviation program to building a flight training program.  Also, we'll show you how to integrate AOPA’s free aviation STEM curriculum into your school.

AOPA represents the largest aviation community in the world, with more than 300,000 members strong and spanning 75 countries. Our mission is to ensure that the sky remains within reach of everyone who dreams of becoming a pilot.

AOPA's High School Aviation Initiative helps build and sustain aviation STEM programs in high schools with the goal of providing a quality workforce to the aviation industry. By working with schools directly, we are helping to expose a diverse group of students to aviation that might otherwise never realize that a career as a pilot, aerospace engineer, or in a drone-related field is completely within reach. Learn more.
