The International Technology and Engineering Educators Association is the largest professional educational association, principal voice, and information clearinghouse devoted to enhancing technology education through technology, innovation, design, and engineering experiences at the K-12 school levels. Its membership encompasses individuals and institutions throughout the world in over 45 countries with the primary membership in North America.

In addition to hosting an annual conference and publishing professional journals, ITEEA serves as a clearinghouse for additional resources for technology and engineering teaching professionals. The resources listed below are continually updated.

  • Research
    The STEM±CTL is engaged in validating the “T&E” of STEM through research that focuses on storytelling and data-driven discovery. We highlight great technology and engineering teachers doing great things. We aim to provide data-driven evidence of STEM learning for all students.
  • For the classroom
    With technology and engineering education, students get to problem solve, design, and innovate while being presented with rich and varied experiences. It aims for broad technological literacy within areas such as robotics, electronics, bio technologies, and much more. Students are encouraged to show initiative, be innovative and creative, learn independently, and take responsibility. They learn teamwork and communication skills as well as the value of contributing to the community both socially and economically.
  • Program Support
    Supporting technology and engineering education requires the efforts of many organizations and individuals. Below are resources to use in support of technology and engineering education in our schools.
  • Green Technology
    Students taking K-12 technology, innovation, design, and engineering (TIDE) courses are using their ingenuity to design, invent and engineer solutions to technological problems related to the use of natural and human resources improving planet Earth and our quality of life.

  • Diversity and STEM
    The ITEEA WomenTech Portal brings educators resources for increasing the number of women and girls in the technology classroom. Read the joint mission statement between ITEEA and the Institute for Women in Trades, Technology and Science (IWITTS)
  • STEM Related Careers
    There is no question that the demand for STEM-related careers is increasing. STEM careers are many and varied and some may not even exist yet.   • Go Baby Go!
    Go Baby Go! operates out in the world from their hub at the Pediatric Mobility Lab and Design Studio, Dept. of Physical Therapy, University of Delaware. The lab is interested in the roles that a child's brain, body, behavior, and environment plays in the development of exploratory behaviors. They focus on reaching, object play, sitting, walking, and the various things children do in everyday life. The lab has been given funding from the National instiutes of Health, National Science Foundation, and Foundation for Physical Therapy.
