ITEEA’s STEM Center for Teaching and Learning developed the Engineering byDesign™ Industry Certification Pathway to encourage more students to work toward a selected industry credential while in high school. This session will review the suggested course pathway, which educators can follow to help prepare students for a successful attempt Onshape’s Associate’s Certification Exam. Further, learn about the teacher training ITEEA offers for this course, so you’re equipped to lead their students!
Ryan Novitski is Director of ITEEA’s STEM Center for Teaching and Learning. Ryan strives to advance technological and engineering literacy for all students while ensuring that they are college- and career-ready. He develops and delivers Integrative STEM courseware and professional learning internationally while ensuring that all courseware is research-based, and standards-aligned. Ryan is a Co-PI on three current National Science Foundation projects, a consultant on another, and is a current doctoral candidate at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. For the duration of his educational career, he has served as a Technology and Engineering Educational professional, including as a vice principal in a secondary setting, and additionally served on several educational committees to advance CTE/STEM literacy for all education professionals and students.
