Call for ITEEA Board of Directors Candidates

ITEEA is seeking candidates for the following positions:

President-Elect 

Eligibility. Only a voting member of ITEEA shall be eligible to hold office. It is further required that for any person’s name to be placed on a ballot for any office in ITEEA, that person must have been a member of ITEEA for at least three (3) years.

There is a rotation with the President-Elect between classroom teacher, teacher educator, and supervisor/administrator. Eligible candidates shall be classified to one of these categories according to either: (1) at least 50% of their professional assignment; and/or (2) their major interest in technology and engineering education. For the 2027 election cycle, ITEEA seeks a classroom teacher for the President-Elect position.

Term. The election of President-Elect occurs annually with that Officer serving a one (1) year term as President-Elect, a one (1) year term as President, then a one (1) year term as Immediate Past President. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the President
  • Serving on the Executive Committee of the Board
  • Coordinating all ITEEA committees

Region Directors (Regions 1 and 3)

ITEEA is also seeking candidates for Directors for Regions 1 and 3.

Eligibility: Only a voting member of ITEEA shall be eligible to hold office. It is further required that for any person’s name to be placed on a ballot for any office in ITEEA, that person must have been a member of ITEEA for at least three (3) years. Region Director candidates do not need to hold a specific position. 

Term: Two years, beginning April 2027

Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a voting member of the Board
  • Representing the interests of the region
  • Acting as a liaison between the Board and the region
  • Promoting membership and supporting members in the region

Responsibilities of all Board of Directors include:

  • Determine desired outcomes for organizational success 
  • Make/approve policy 
  • Exercise fiscal responsibility and allocate resources to advance strategic plan 
  • Determine and support the role of the Executive Director 
  • Adopt an appropriate governance model. f. Advance fundraising through the ITEEA Foundation

To be considered for the ballot, members must submit an ITEEA Ballot Biography Form before Monday, June 22, 2026.
