Professional Bio

Luci Coker is the Magnet Facilitator for Seminole County Public Schools where she develops and markets magnet programs. She has over 32 years of educational experience from Pre-K to College instruction and administrative experience.

As Magnet Coordinator for 18 years, programs she initiated and implemented have won national awards including the MSA school of excellence and distinction, the ITEEA Program of Excellence, ITEEA STEM School of Excellence, and ISEA STEM Excellence awards.

She has presented at regional, national, and international conferences including FEEC, ITEEA, PLTW, and TSA. Luci is an advisor for Technology Student Association, Beta Club, SECME, Girl’s Engineering Breakfast Club, and Student Astronaut Challenge.

She is a member of the Society of Women Engineers, Magnet Schools of America, Technology Student Association, and International Technology and Engineering Educators Association. She currently serves on the board for Florida Technology Student Association, Florida Association for Career and Technical Education, and the ITEEA Secondary STEM Council. Luci was named the 2020-2021, and 2021-2022 Florida Technology Student Association Advisor of the Year and received the FLTSA Honorary Life Member Award in 2023.

Luci holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education from Mercer University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University.
