Discover Hands-On Learning at ITEEA’s Annual Conference

Each year, ITEEA’s Annual Conference offers a rich array of learning opportunities, and one of the most popular features is the Activity Center located in the exhibit hall. Designed by the Conference Planning Committee, these hands-on experiences are often tailored to each host city, reflecting its unique character and themes.

At the 2025 Conference in St. Louis, one standout activity captured the enthusiasm of attendees: the chance to design and create personalized ping pong paddles. Participants not only crafted their own paddles but also had the opportunity to compete in a lively tournament held just before the exhibit hall closed. The excitement didn’t end there—many attendees brought the activity back to their classrooms, adapting it with their students and extending the learning far beyond the conference. Special thanks to out to Dr. David White at Florida A&M University and Mike Sundblad at St. Cloud State University for sharing their experiences with the activity.

Dr. White's FAMU students display their new personalized ping pong paddles.
