Educator Xchanges
ITEEA Members meet virtually to collaborate, exchange ideas, and share experiences.
Educator Xchanges are designed exclusively for ITEEA members to engage in lively discussions, exchange ideas, and collaborate with other educators on exciting and innovative approaches to STEM education. Each facilitator-hosted session will focus on a topic or challenge from the education community, offering a platform for peer-to-peer learning and knowledge exchange. Every participant is encouraged to engage in an exploration of the session’s theme, share their personal experiences, and help others walk away with new perspectives and ideas.

Teachers, it’s time to add another tool to your teaching toolbox!! This hour-long session will focus on adding the sustainable design and engineering mindset as a tool for use in all of your projects and lessons without adding more work. An interdisciplinary team of educators will provide examples of sustainability in action for all levels (elementary, middle, high, and post secondary) to jumpstart the interactive discussion. Participants will be asked to think sustainably, and encourage others to do the same. You will be challenged to select an existing lesson or project and complete a slight modification to include the sustainable design and engineering mindset.

Discover how the Technology Student Association (TSA) can enhance STEM education by engaging students in hands-on, real-world learning experiences. This exchange will explore the benefits of offering TSA, from developing leadership skills to fostering a deeper connection between classroom concepts and practical applications.
You'll learn how to affiliate your school or program, with guidance on managing memberships and maximizing student participation. We’ll also dive into TSA’s Competitive Events Program, covering events at all levels, how they align with national STEM standards, and the process for updating or suggesting new events to reflect emerging industry trends.
Additionally, we hope to discuss with attendees strategies for integrating TSA as a co-curricular component of engineering and technology programs, enriching students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Finally, share practical tips on effective fundraising to support chapter growth and participation in conferences and competitions.
This session is ideal for educators looking to start or expand their TSA chapter and inspire the next generation of technology leaders.
