Professional Learning

ITEEA's STEM Center for Teaching and Learning™ is building a community of STEM Education Leaders through face-to-face professional learning, webinars, and an online learning community, all for which prepare educators to be Integrative STEM Education professionals.

Professional Learning Opportunities includes:

  • Collaborative Learning Community: for teachers, by teachers;
  • Summer Institutes on Engineering byDesign™ courses;
  • Authorized Teacher Institutes (ATI) to become an Authorized Teacher Effectiveness Coach (ATEC);
  • On-site workshops (school/district/state) that develop STEM pedagogy and practice through a facilitated learning opportunity;
  • A broad range of options for developing the Integrative STEM Education professional, such as customized webinars.

Workshops

ITEEA’s STEM CTL™ will bring your state a multi-day in person or virtual workshop on any EbD™ courses or elementary curriculum. This includes STEM CTL™ coordination, technical support, National Teacher Effective Coach support, and consumable supplies for participants.

Attend this training to become an Authorized Teacher Effectiveness Coach (ATECs) and become eligible to lead EbD professional development for designated course(s) in your state or district, plus paid training opportunities through ITEEA. STEM CTL provides each participant with the training, mentoring, and online resources to ensure high quality professional development. 
 

ITEEA Scholastics

Enroll in a semester long course offered both synchronously and asynchronously to maximize your learning outcomes. The most recent course equips educators to teach the Onshape Certification byDesign course and/or effectively bring Onshape into their classroom through first-hand experience, completing three units with five learning cycles, a preliminary, and primary challenge.

 

STEMinars

This specially designed virtual professional learning series of one-hour sessions focuses on best practices for leading Integrative STEM in your state, district, school, or institution. The goal of each STEMinar is to provide proven instructional strategies and ideas that you can use to support your efforts in delivering the best possible processes and practices.
